I told him I welcome watching the videos because truly nothing happened. I told him, you are making a mistake listening to the one side of an hysterical woman who just didn’t like my point of view nothing more and I have my case to bring and please let me get to it as you don’t seem to be arresting me. The guy looked super disappointed and said to me ok fine you can go and I did. They all came into the courtroom with me with sneers and awful body language and kept at it as I did my entire case. When I won – ha ha – and got up to leave they followed me to my car as a group and finally one said, fuck you asshole we’ll get you next time.
This was some joy for them coming after a lawyer – wanted my scalp badly, didn’t get it, were disappointed and angry. Pretty twisted. I am not a confrontational person. I generally prefer to be polite and friendly, unless someone gives me a reason not to be. It’s something my own mother had instilled in me; to be kind to everyone, no matter where they’re from or who they are, because you never know what struggles they may be facing. As well as the “little things” like respecting personal space, using honorifics like “sir” or “ma’am” to someone older than yourself, etc.
